A typing-reactive desktop companion gives a visual response to activity. In TapNoise, Tappy is a small keycap character that presses along with your typing and reacts to supported events.
Choose a useful role
You might enjoy a character that makes the desk feel more personal, prefer a visible agent-status cue or simply like the animation. None of those requires treating it as a measure of productive work.
Place the character where it does not cover document text, buttons or captions. If you keep moving it out of the way, hide it for that task rather than reorganising your entire workspace around it.
Understand the inputs
Tappy can react to typing, charging, time away and connected agent events. Slap and other sensor reactions depend on compatible hardware. A playful visual does not mean the app reads the words you are writing.
TapNoise keeps local counts and progression data; its privacy model does not use a transcript of your typed text. Review the data inventory if background activity tracking concerns you.
Keep control available
Show or hide Tappy in General settings or the menu. Turn off sounds separately if you want a visual companion without ordinary playback; check the current app state and license or trial status when testing.
For positioning, see moving and hiding the buddy. For meaningful work events, clicking Tappy to return to an agent explains its practical navigation role.
