License

Your license, within reach.

Find your key in the Dodo customer portal, activate it in TapNoise Settings, and move it between your Macs.

Find your key.

The key arrives in the receipt email from Dodo Payments the moment you buy. If you can’t find it, sign in to Dodo’s customer portal with the email you bought with. The portal lists your purchase, your receipt and your license key.

Open the Dodo customer portal

The portal is hosted by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record for TapNoise.

Activate it on your Mac.

  1. Open Settings › License. Click the keycap in the menu bar, then Settings…, then License.
  2. Enter the key. Click Enter Key…, paste your key and click Activate.

TapNoise checks the key with Dodo when it launches and about every three days after that. A Mac that can’t reach Dodo for 30 days stops unlocking TapNoise until a check gets through. Settings tells you when that happens.

Move it, or free a seat.

One license works on up to 2 Macs at a time. To move it to a new Mac, start on the old one:

  1. Remove it on the old Mac. Open Settings › License and click Remove from this Mac. That frees the seat and deletes the key from that Mac’s Keychain.
  2. Activate it on the new Mac. Open Settings › License there, click Enter Key…, paste your key and click Activate.
“This key is already on as many Macs as it allows.”

That message means every seat is in use. Remove the key from one of those Macs in Settings › License, then try again.

Lost a Mac?

If you can’t reach the old Mac, you can’t click Remove from this Mac there. Email us and we’ll free the seat for you. Include the email address you bought with and the order number from Dodo’s receipt.

Email support@tapnoise.com

Please don’t send the full license key. Send the order number from the receipt instead.

Keep your key private.

The license is personal. Don’t share or publish your key, and don’t post a full key in a public message, an issue or a screenshot. If you need to show a key to support, send the order number instead.

TapNoise keeps the key in your Mac’s login Keychain, not in a preferences file. A refund deactivates the key. Read the refund policy before you ask for one.
