Works with
TapNoise and the apps you use.
Sounds for your coding agents, quiet during calls, and knocks that mute your mic or play music. Each page says what happens and how to set it up.
Coding agents
TapNoise plays a sound when Claude Code, Codex or Cursor finishes a turn. Claude Code also has a sound for when it needs you, and you can knock twice to jump to its window.
- Claude CodeHear Claude Code finish, ask for permission or fail, in the sounds of your keyboard theme. Knock twice to jump to the window that’s waiting.
- CodexHear a sound when Codex finishes a turn. TapNoise keeps any notify command you already have, so both still run.
- CursorA sound when a Cursor agent finishes its turn or fails, in the same keyboard theme as the rest of TapNoise.
Calls
With Quiet during calls on, TapNoise goes silent while any app uses your microphone. With Knock commands on, a double knock mutes or unmutes that microphone during a call.
Music
TapNoise doesn’t look at which music app is playing. A knock sends the same play and pause key your keyboard sends, so it works with whichever app macOS shows as now playing. It needs Accessibility.
Knock commands explains the play and pause knock in full.
