Updated

Tappy is the little keycap with a face. It sits on your desktop and reacts to everything you do.

Show, hide and move it

  • Turn Tappy on screen on or off in Settings › General. The same switch is in the menu.
  • Drag Tappy anywhere on the screen.

What Tappy does

  • It sweats and catches fire when you type fast.
  • It gets dizzy when you slap the MacBook.
  • It eats when the charger goes in.
  • It sleeps when you’re away.
  • Click Tappy to jump to a coding agent that’s waiting for you. See agent sounds.

Levels, streaks and hats

  • Every tap earns 1 XP and every slap earns 10 XP. Tappy levels up as you go.
  • Type 500 keys in one day to start a streak. Keep reaching 500 keys on the days after to keep it going.
  • Six hats unlock as Tappy levels up. Open Settings › Stats and choose Wear it, or Take it off.
  • The Your week card in Stats makes a picture of your taps, best day, streak and Tappy’s hat. Choose Copy Image or Save….
