How to move your TapNoise license to a new Mac

Remove your key from the old Mac in Settings › License, then activate it on the new one. One key covers up to two Macs at a time.

Each license works on up to two Macs at a time. To move it, free the seat on the old Mac, then activate the key on the new one.

On the old Mac

  1. Open TapNoise Settings, then License.
  2. Click Remove from this Mac.

This deletes the license from this Mac’s Keychain and frees its seat.

On the new Mac

  1. Install TapNoise and open it.
  2. Open Settings › License, then click Enter Key….
  3. Paste your key and click Activate.

If the old Mac is gone

You can’t remove a key from a Mac you no longer have. See lost access to a Mac. We can free the seat for you.

Seeing “activated on another Mac”

If an older Mac shows This license was activated on another Mac., the key now belongs to the newer one. To use the key on the older Mac again, enter it there. That uses one of the two seats.
