Keep TapNoise quiet during calls

Quiet during calls silences TapNoise while Zoom, FaceTime or any app uses your microphone. It's on by default, and you can turn it off.

Updated

When an app is using your microphone, the people on the call shouldn’t hear your typing. Quiet during calls keeps TapNoise silent for you while Zoom, FaceTime or any other app has the mic.

What you’ll see

While TapNoise is quiet for this reason, the menu shows Quiet while your mic is on.

Change it

  1. Open Settings › General.
  2. Under Playback, turn Quiet during calls on or off. It’s on by default.

Turn it off if you want the sounds during calls.

TapNoise only checks whether an app is using the microphone. It never listens to the microphone or records audio.
