Clean Mode: lock your keyboard to wipe it

Clean Mode holds the keyboard and trackpad for 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes so you can wipe them. Hold Esc for 2 seconds to stop early.

Clean Mode holds your keyboard and trackpad, so you can wipe them without typing or clicking anything by accident.

Start it

  1. Open Settings › Keyboard, then find the Clean Mode card.
  2. Under How long, choose 30 seconds, 1 minute (the default) or 2 minutes.
  3. Click Start.

You can also click Clean my keyboard in the menu.

Stop it early

Hold Esc for 2 seconds.

Allow it to hold keys

Clean Mode works through Accessibility. If the card says Allow TapNoise to hold keys, click Open Settings and turn TapNoise on under Accessibility. Accessibility is optional, so the rest of TapNoise works without it.
